Hi! I’m Aléna. I’m an award-winning author and a freelance writer and editor. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English, with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I started writing stories when I was three years old. I told them to my mom, and she wrote them down. I have been editing professionally since 2015. I have several articles and stories published online and in anthologies, and I will publish my debut novel this fall. I currently live in North Idaho with my husband, four children, two grandchildren, my mom, three dogs, five cats, and a varying number of chickens. When I am not spending time with family and friends, gardening, boating, hiking, or at the gym, I am reading and writing. I also like to crochet and spin yarn for some downtime. Some of my favorite authors include Ann McCaffrey, Elizabeth Cunningham, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Erin Morgenstern.
